
The practice was established in June 1982 with Peter Jervis working in the capacity of
Principal Engineer with consulting associates in the fields of Roads and Works and
Municipal Water Supply.
Mr. Jervis brought to the Company, 8 years of experience as
a Civil Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of the
West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad, where he received his
Bachelors in Civil Engineering, and University of Toronto with
a Masters in Structural Engineering.
His work experience started as an apprentice with the Ministry of Construction at the
Public Works Department, serving in the Architectural, Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying
and Material Testing Departments. He later worked as a Structural Engineer after graduating,
and was engaged in the structural design and construction monitoring of various government
buildings including Court Houses, Post Offices, Motor Vehicle Examination Depots, and many
others as shown in his Curriculum Vitae.
After leaving the PWD he worked on various other projects such as establishing a central
concrete batching and supply service, large housing construction which involved the design
of the casting yards, panel production and erection, planning and labor administration.
Since the establishment of Peter Jervis & Associates 1982, over 400 projects have been done
in almost every category of structural engineering, as well as some civil design projects.
